PFF says a Buffalo Bills' day 3 selection was one of the best picks of the entire 2024 NFL Draft
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Pro Football Focus thinks one of the Buffalo Bills' day three selections was one of the best picks of the entire 2024 NFL Draft.

PFF recently named their best pick for each round of the 2024 NFL Draft. And they think that Buffalo's selection of Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Sedrick Van Pran was the best pick in the fifth round of the draft.

From PFF: Once a potential Day 2 target for teams needing a high-floor player on the interior, Van Pran allowed just one sack on more than 1,400 pass-blocking snaps at Georgia. He slots in as a “first man off the bench” type at all three interior positions for Buffalo.

Van Pran fell a bit further in the draft than expected, but that's mainly because he's viewed as a "utility" player in the NFL. And that's not a bad thing.

Having interior offensive line depth is one of the most underrated aspects of building a quality NFL roster. It's not a position that receives a lot of attention, but it's absolutely critical when it comes to winning football games (especially late in the season).

Van Pran is a player that should give Buffalo plenty of quality snaps while filling in at various times as a starter.
